REI and the Zoo

Last week we ventured down to SLC for my birthday! Jack was in town visiting, and it was oh so good to see him. We had a blast, and Ty thought the zoo was fabulous from start to finish. He didn't stop pointing, jumping, or oohing the entire time. All is well here and we are actually enjoying a spring before the heat sets in next week.

Ty and Jack

Ty's first experience with a climbing wall.

He's a natural!

Seriously, it was impressive.

More moves...

His new hat...

that he now pulls off immediately.

Monkeys!

Elephants!

Still the elephants...

More monkeys...

We did also see the actual gorillas.

Ty, practicing his pointing skills.

Lemurs! (his favorite of all the animals)

Looking at the lemurs.

And still more monkeys.

Darn the shadows.

Looking at the giraffes.

Still looking.

The zoo train.

We were both tired.

I'm pointing at YOU!

The end of a long day.

More Boston Pics

I think these are the last of the best pictures of our trip. We really had a great time, and got to see quite a few people. Of course we wished we could have seen everyone! Ty fell in love with Nana and Grandad's pets. He hadn't interacted with kitties before and LOVED them. Andy and Imus were so good with Ty, and seemed quite interested in him. They even allowed quite a few pets until Ty figured out how to pull a cat's tail. Woops. Leo loved Ty too, especially when he balanced on his back and gave him a back rub. We all think Leo thought Ty was a cat! He really wanted to play more with Ty, but he is just too big for him still. Give him a few more months Leo!

Bath time!

What did I tell you about that tongue?!

Beth's new office in Hartford! We went to visit during the unpacking phase and kind of helped.

The "living" area of the office.

Ty's entertainment during the visit.

Saying good-bye to Nana at the airport.

This may look sweet and cuddly, but Ty is really tryng to chew on Nana's necklace!

Back home, and Ty is helping unpack (I really should keep a suitcase out all the time. It's hours of entertainment).

Cousins

We got to visit with Nana's side of the family last week, and Ty was able to play with his cousins! It's so nice that he has cousins so close to his age. I can't imagine what kind of fun they will have in a few years. The pictures below include Ashley who is 10 months (exactly one month older than Ty), Logan who 14 months, and Wil is 4. Enjoy the pics, still more to come!

Can you tell Ty has discovered how to entertain people? Stick out his tongue!

Ty is usually the one crawling over other babies!

Yummy!

Does it get any cuter?
