Having a Blast

After two days of traveling, we made it to the Bahamas on Wednesday. Tues. we flew to Miami and stayed the night, then met Nana and Granddad there Wednesday to fly to Georgetown. The island is gorgeous, and the weather has been perfect. Ty LOVES the water (GA, he's kicking around like a pro! Even trying to paddle a bit) and ADORES playing the sand. He seems to want to "sample" sand from every beach. What is it with kids and eating sand? Is it the salt?

The wedding is tonight, and we are all so happy for Beth and Mike. We have a snorkeling outing planning for this afternoon at a neighboring island, then the wedding is at 5 PM. More pics to come, but lots more pictures on their blog.

PS- Sorry about the horrible layout. Blogger is being VERY annoying today.

Snoozing before the last flight of the trip down.

We've been taking lots of walks.

Building lots of sand castles.

Pretty swimming trunks on that boy!! It looks like paradise. I'm writing this when the wedding is only 1 hour away. I've been tiptoeing around all day while doing errands so I won't slip on the ice around here and you guys have been soaking up the sun!!! The word jealous is inadequate!!!! I'm so glad Ty's having so much fun. Thanks so much for keeping the poor relations back at home up to date!!! love, GA Of course he's paddliing like a pro it's in his genes!!!!

Ok ... don't mind us ... we're just the poor relations stuck in the cold and ice waiting on the edge of our seats to see wedding photos ... we understand of course you are too busy basking in the sun and sand to give a thought to us. We still love you!!! GA

It must be confessed that it has been a distinct contrast within a span of 48 hours to (1) leave bright sunny skies, aqua blue waters and sandy beaches to (2) return to overcast skies, falling snow, removing the remains of 2 snowfalls, losing one's domestic water supply, and pulling the pump up from 200 feet down deep.
